Strata building defects

by Hynes Legal

New South Wales buildings are throughout the media with respect to strata building defects with Opal Tower, Mascot Towers and the recent building in Zetland. Recently added to that was Melbourne’s tallest tower and the plight of one owner in Brisbane.

Queensland has not seen any major disasters of a similar nature to some of these, but the reality is that every new building has defects of some sort. The most obvious example is combustible cladding, which we first wrote about here.

If your building is in Queensland, has defects (be they cladding or otherwise), and you want to understand what you need to do, go here to download the only guide in the market that can walk you through the issues.
